Having someone gum up the leaderboards with their 24-7 botting is indistinguishable from a team platooning the game 24-7. There’d be fewer people doing this if the bots were somehow magically banned, but I assure you the leaderboards would still be determined primarily by who can keep their character running…
Yeah, and you don’t have to play the game either. I suppose you could meticulously personally track your own XP from that point forward to see what paragon levels you *have* earned and only apply those, but that rather defeats the purpose of a mindless hack and slash game.
Issue was that individual XP bonuses meant the best way to level was to show up with a gimped character loaded down with +XP equipment, and let everyone else do the actual killing for you. In the (relatively) cheat-free PC environment, this was causing problems, so they changed XP bonuses to be shared; your +XP gear…
