When it comes to obstacles one knows based on the "feel" in the harness, but I suppose that one would have less of a tactile sense of the ground, and less time to respond to things. A

@SmokeyRivers: I have considered Android phones. It would allow me to stay with Verizon and not have to switch to AT&T. However, the Talkback, kickback, etc on the Android OS does not work with applications that are not native to the phone. So, if I get the Kindle application for android it will not read the books

@rtrudel: I am thinking about that. Also, Android has a program called Talkback in the OS. However, it says that it only works with "native apps". I do not think that the Kindle app would be considered native, but I could be wrong.

I would love to use a Kindle app but I do not have a portable device at the moment that supports it. My hope is that the new iPhone comes to Verizon, or some iPhone in the future. I would then use Kindle and have it read to me with the VoiceOver screen reader app included on the newer iPhones. I have thought of
