There's also the one about zombies (sorry, "walkers") that despite online criticism outperforms all of those shows in the ratings. I agree with the sentiment though. Once Breaking Bad and Mad Men are gone AMC may turn into another Spike TV like network.

This episode got to me more than I expected. Nine years is a long time. All of the memories the show brought up from being a viewer through that time period made the sentimentality hit that much harder. There's certain albums, shows and movies that grow alongside you and make you remember the past (and younger years).

I agree. Jim has proven time and time again just how much he loves her, starting from when she was still engaged to Roy. They now have two children together, he comments about "not being good enough" were extremely frustrating to hear. The nice montage can't erase the thought that her insecurities getting in the way

I'm surprised the review didn't mention that Dwight actually IS the father of Angela's baby, after the paternity test and previous denials. They went for the full happy ending there, which is why I'm surprised Pam didn't see the video and ask Jim to follow his dreams like you mentioned.

It may disturb you to find out that Two and a Half Men actually has better ratings now then it did with Charlie Sheen.

Wow, nearly thirty years together and not a happy ending. All I can say is sorry man, that sucks.

TaumpyTears, maybe that says something about your objectivity? It's possible to dislike a film while still appreciating what it does right.

I agree, there was an honesty and emotion to this episode that has been missing the past few seasons. From Pam/Erin mirroring each other (showing the evolution of the office), to Dwight becoming manager and Jim congratulating him, this felt like an episode closing a series. This was much better than anything put out

Will more or less scolded her like a parent. "What do you think you're doing? Sit back down." It was embarrassing.

I just realized my mistake and came back to change it. It's too late now, my misunderstanding is here to stay.

Is this really the last season of Mad Men? I thought Matthew Weiner said they were closing with a seventh? With Breaking Bad ending this is a sad year for my favorite shows (and AMC).

This is one of the best takedowns I've ever read on the A.V. Club. Amazing.

This reply is 8 months later, so I don't know if you ever got around to seeing this movie (or if you'll even see this comment) but the movie wasn't misogynistic in any way. Zoe Kazan's script smartly deconstructed the MPDG trope and showed how empty and unfair longing for a girl that's just like you is (for everyone

Weren't zombies the big thing before vampires? Then people got sick of Twilight vamps and went back to zombies again.

This finale felt really anticlimactic and the more I think back to the rest of the season (and the show in general) it all kind of blends of together. TWD is entertaining during each individual episode but the big changes this year felt too slow. There were more character deaths and another new location but is that

This can't be real, it has to be uptight PC satire right? Either that or Adria Richards is an A.V. Club commenter.

It made no sense to me because Rick more or less stated if they handed over Michonne it wouldn't stop. The Governor would attack them anyway or just make more demands. It would be completely useless giving into him and as a Sheriff Rick should know that. He also admitted Michonne was one of the group now (I thought

They had been broken up and in different relationships for quite awhile before he died. I've had an intense dislike for Michelle Williams since reading an interview (before his death) saying how awful she was treating him, especially over seeing his daughter. It was either from him or a close friend, but she was

Rick wanting to give up Michonne made no sense to me, especially after he stated she saved some of their lives and that the Governor would just keep coming back for more people. It's like when Lorie asked Rick to kill Shane, then got mad when he did.
