If you're looking for something to do in Seattle, let me know. I'll buy you a beer (or several).

I do have to say, Slow's is the best BBQ on earth.
Said every VW owner ever.
Weeelllll, if you want to get REALLY pedantic, the bottle hadn't been brought out yet haha. It was brought out with the "drei Glaser." :P
Wasn't it "drei" Whisky in Inglourious Basterds?
Yeah, point out where I said "you have to prove your mettle as a rally driver...to be the best on (the) road." Because that's definitely not what I said.
And yet, Loeb has finished second at LeMans, the most difficult road racing event on earth. Apparently that rally skillset of his didn't translate very well to road racing.
Are you for real?
Most parts aren't too hard to find for the E30, but they're WAY more expensive than any of the E36 M3 parts I ever bought.
It'd be like Mel Gibson in Braveheart. I'd just be yelling out "FREEEEEEDOOOMMMM" as she was chopping my testes off.
Hit up nwbmwforums when you get up here. Lots of good BMW guys on there. Kent is great, there's some good karting and Pacific Raceways if you're into track days. Message me when you're up here, we can sample some Karts and/or one of the fine local microbrews!
It's from a hose connected to the top of the thermostat, so at least I know where the leak is at. It's probably a tablespoon a day so it doesn't bug me that much, especially after I've tried to fix it about three times now. Next I'm going to try some silicone sealant, so we'll see how that works.
I think my GF would kill me if I came home with either of those haha.
There were a couple E30s in the Seattle area for $9-12k here recently. Just keep your eyes peeled on S14.net! They'll need lots of work, but mine has been super reliable so far. I just view it as a long-term project, so I can put up with some of the gremlins for now.
I just put 235s on it this last weekend, but I actually miss having the 205s for the tail-happy antics.
The Toyobaru isn't the winningest touring car chassis of all time so... yeah. It's about the most direct modern interpretation of the E30 M3, but just lacks the character.
Dude, for sure! I need to break out my camera. It has been gathering too much dust lately.
After my E36 M3 got totaled last year, I ended up buying two cars. First, I got an E30 M3 - my dream car. It has no interior except for a pair of aging seats. The paint is horrible and it was used as somebody's weekend track car for a few years before I bought it. The chassis has 228k mi. and the engine has 70k. From…
I hate to say it, because I think he's a valuable member to the Jalopnik team (great insight into a world I'm fascinated by), but Alex Lloyd's early articles were TERRIBLE. The M5/M6 reviews stick out in my mind, but even those weren't as bad as some of his early columns. Overwrought anecdotes abound and you could…
I got a sliver medal walking on my hardwood floors this morning.
