Gotta disagree hard on this one. IMO Jagged Little Pill holds up as a top 10 90s album. It’s a viscerally angry album and Alanis is SO GOOD at getting her emotions across.

And hello Twitter—I may not Tweet but I hear things. I write my own comments, too. I don’t have a team. I have me. If it has my name on it—book, comment, whatever—I fracking wrote it. What’s so hard to understand about that?

I write ALL my own books. You didn’t like one, that’s fine. But I wrote it. I very much object to being accused by someone who doesn’t know me of doing something I consider unethical. I write every book with my name on it. No ghost writer, no co-authors, no team. Me. Period. Nora

I don’t even hate Bernie, I just hate deifying any candidate as if they are beyond any criticism.

The fact that the black person is less likely to go for it doesn’t mean the white person isn’t motivated by poverty at least in part.

For me, it’s pragmatism. I cannot in good conscience aspire for some “revolution” when I know that revolutions put people like me on the front lines. You ever notice some of the most shrill people over at Splinter don’t comment over here? Depite the fact that they’re all over every comment on that blog about politics they seem generally afraid to even step foot at the Root let alone even read it.
