A vidalia chopper is always worth the expense. I’m on my fourth, I think.

So, my waffle iron could make those. It came with two sets of plates. Apparently it’s an international waffle iron. I only use it for delicious waffles, though. The other plates (the jaffle plates, I suppose) are just sitting in the back of the cabinet, collecting dust.

My super girly, Barbie playing, princess loving daughter loves science kits. That mom was, just, I don’t even know the right word. WTF?

I remember buying our first Lego friends set in the girl aisle a couple of years ago, but now there’s just one big Lego aisle and my girls love walking through it. Though they still want the pink and purple Lego’s, they’re at least seeing the other sets. Your target needs to catch up.

Lego friends was in the girls section, next to Barbie until about a year ago (maybe 2? Or first Lego friend set was purchased 2 years ago from the girls section). I was very happy when they moved the display.

I think, for me, the issue is with the word extraordinary. By definition, you need to be going above and beyond basic parenting to be extraordinary. I think you’re probably a good parent, as is your wife (assuming here). But just because you’re doing better than the dad next door, it doesn’t make you extraordinary by

Dude, I do all of that and I’m not getting praised for it. What makes you such an extraordinary person that you deserve extra commendations for you know, taking care of the children in your home?

My girls are 4, 4 and 7, so *insert Hunger Games salute picture.*

My kids are 7 and 4, and I’m convinced it never actually gets better. It just gets different.

Once upon a time, I would have said, “stickers. You should never bribe with food.” Three kids later, I’m buying M&Ms and saltwater taffy in bulk. Sometimes we mix it up with gummy bears and cookies. These, uh, rewards go way beyond potty training.

My 7 yr old just read a biography of Susan B Anthony. I’ll see if I can find that section.

For the first time in 15 years, I’m missing the days when I worked at one of KFC’s ad agencies. The thought process on this one is mystifying.

I agree with you and always have a blanket or tablecloth for picnics. But back in my baby changing days, if there wasn’t a changing station in the bathroom (surprisingly common even in parks), I’d change the diaper on the bench, with a blanket or changing pad to protect both the baby and the bench. Common courtesy

Now I want that set, and not just for the cute factor.

The number of dipping sauce events in my life increased when my kids were old enough to use them. Actually, I still don’t use dipping bowls, but the kids think it’s the height of sophistication.

“I’m some sort of weird conglomeration of optimist and pessimist lol.”

Aand, eat24 has more optionsoptions than seamless. I’ll just have to start tipping in cash.

This is me too. Eat24 has more restaurants in my neighborhood than grubhub. I’m downloading seamless now to compare, but since I live on the outer edges of Seattle (like I have an address in the city, but the closest food options are in suburbs), I feel like it could go either way.
