Haha, apparently I have no social circle.
@zidarko: The status bar is a part of the OS, so naturally Apple won't give developers access to that.
@LTMP: A few remarks on that:
@Samurai I-am-awry: You can download previously purchased apps again free of charge, no worries.
@Homerjay has ABSA Fever: You're gonna have to jailbreak again every time you download a new firmware version. Voids your warranty. Bad usage of the jailbreak apps can make your device considerably slower (smart use won't cut its performance one bit though).
@keioloaf: You can't brick your iPhone by jailbreaking it OR using a jailbreak app. There is always DFU restore, your phone is not broken, there are probably just a few lines of code that are conflicting.
@cbandes: Yeah, you can just download them again. Free of charge, of course.
@njdevil lost his Totem: I prefer Cydia, but only really because it's the standard option. They both have about the same apps anyway.
@zidarko: It could never get into the app store because you have to interact with the statusbar to use it. Pretty self-explanatory.
@trs:You keep all your apps you've previously purchased, and of course you can still buy apps from the App store. Syncing works perfectly fine, no problems there either.

I'm gonna act like a total 13 year old and say the following:
@Nitesh Singh: You're on Gizmodo, dude.
There's this thingy called Photoshop.
@Cody Reynolds: Naturally you're gonna need a microphone for Facetime.
I am very curious how Apple would execute the touch-screen Shuffle.
@Gizfrodo: ROB? Rob? My name isn't Rob, you cheating bitch.
@Kimrod: In the full article, the woman says she persuaded him not to take the laptop, because the police would be able to trace it (I'M GONNA FUCKIN' BACKTRACE YOU AND REPORT YOU TO THE CYBERPOLICE) at which he must've placed it there.
