And yet I laugh at each episode.
And yet I laugh at each episode.
Fun size.
I find the whole Austria/royal plot offputting. I realize that they want an arc in the series in contrast to the weekly procedural, but I have zero interest in it.
Watched the 3rd and final episode last night. I thought it was outstanding in every aspect. The cast, the script, the music, the cinematography, etc. I would have been happy if they had made it a series like Vikings on History.
One of my most annoying actors. He always plays a badass and he's this little shrimpy guy you could squash under your thumb. Never bought it.
Ruh-roh Raggy!
Couldn't find anything on I wanted to watch last night, so I finally caught an episode of Girls. That's an hour I'll never get back. Much ado about nothing.
I'm hard pressed to consider tofu as food.
Precisely.
I'm a Boy Scout leader. I've taught many boys about backpacking with smellables in bear country. I hate to inform Agent Ward, but there is no "odorless" food. He should have eaten his half of the sandwich instead of tossing it in the water and opting for his "odorless" S.H.I.E.L.D. cardboard bar.
Being a twin myself, I get it. Only one baby comes out at a time. I'm 5 minutes older than my brother.
I was actually hoping for Fitz to pull of the rescue. Rising to the occasion outside his usual function would have added a new depth to his character.
I've been undecided on the show since it began. I really want to like it, but felt it could be more. I guess it is the expectation of super heroes to periodically show up. I mean if you can get Samuel Jackson to do a cameo, surely you can occasionally fit in Jeremy Renner or Scarlett Johansson. What about the…
Progressive? Change attitudes? I don't remeber that in their ads. It's a comedy, not a social statement. It's not pretending to be anything it's not. Geez louise people.
Do you not realize what a BS response that is? Offense is in the eye of the beholder. No group gets to be more offended than another nor do you have a right to NOT be offended. I'm a husband and a father. I could get all pissy over the way Jay or Phil are portrayed in a stereotypical fashion, but you'd just blow…
It's a comedy for crying out loud. It's only agenda is to make money by making people laugh and it is extremely successful at doing that. Every character on the show is a stereotype. EVERY character. Think about it. You need to get a thicker skin or find something else to watch.
So I go back to my original post. Are you only offended by stereotypical portrayals of gays in comedy or all other stereotypes as well? And if so, how do you watch and enjoy ANY comedy on TV? Name a comedy that doesn't include a stereotype for laughs. Two Broke Girls? Stereotypes. South Park? Stereotypes. Big…
Straight guys like to laugh at comedy. Bumbling fathers, manipulative mothers and old queens……as long as it's funny.
"The screaming queen in American popular culture is not something I'm always going to reject out of hand, but your show is going to have to do a very good job of earning the right to play in that particular sandbox".
Lighten up. It's comedy and it's TV. Are you equally as offended by stereotypes of the bumbling…
Ouch! I'm virtually stung by your virtual dis. How will I cope with these down votes?
