We have about 8 Harley’s on my street in years past that every weekend during riding season would “bless us” with their sound. This year the it was much quieter. I would say they are being ridden only about 25% of the time now as compared to last year.

A rare feet today. So many wheel look like they came off a hot wheels toy. VW and Honda have been some of the biggest offenders. Honda got it right this time. 

My commute is a short 5 miles. Top speed is 50 mph For about 2 miles. The other 3 miles is through neighborhoods at 30 mph. I would love to get one. My wife hates them says they are to small so I’ll probably end up with a used Ninja 250 or 300. Used they are about the same cost as a used grom.

Thanks for the advice. I am planning on about 1000-1200 on gear. I am hoping to find a nice 300r abs or similar. Still sometimes the cheap 250r with carbs seems like a rite of passage.

That’s good to know about people being happy with the higher end Chinese bikes. I am taking my MSF early next spring. I will probably end with a small used sports bike. 300r, CBR 300 or similar. If i want to try to get something running there is a 09 250r with 3000 miles on it going for $1700. From the pictures…
