I used to work in a junkyard we had a 3 in there. All of them had well over 250,000 miles one was like 350,000 They were all came in running and were bought for a song at auctions. It was a shame to part them out. I thought about picking one up but just did not want to deal with a project car at the time.

Years ago I was getting my 88 16v Jetta worked on at a VW Volvo dealer in Louisiana. They did not have a huge new inventory probably about 50 cars tops.

First time I did this was when my wife asked me to try to repair a friends oven that a mouse decided to move in. The mouse then decided to eat, pee and crap all over the insulation. It was a very expensive oven that came with the house and they were not in the position to replace it.
