That’s what I see happening. FCA not getting rid of Ram and Jeep, but spin them off and sell minority stake just to raise some cash.

Yep. Paint is made like that so the shear force of moving the brush/roll along a surface will make the paint spread out and lay flat. But once it is on the surface it thickens to stay in place.
This particular case isn’t about being an eyesore (although others have been). This is the city trying to enforce zoning rules. It comes down to urban planning and the particular use that area was designed for. Yeah, one commercial vehicle parked on the street probably doesn’t hurt anything at all. But if they didn’t…
I think Jeremy Clarkson said it best, “America is the country where you can do anything you want... as long as you have a permit.”
One of the best setups that I have driven off-road was an early 90's chevy with the Z71 package. It was auto with low stall speed torque converter, so you got a very direct feel and good engine braking. It was also programmed so that when 2nd was selected it would wouldn’t shift up or down, and would even allow you to…
Both companies that I have worked for have had some amount of money budgeted for Community Outreach each year. Usually it was at the discretion of the site manager as well. That being said, if it was part of a larger capital project to remodel the facility, then they could just slide it in as part of the landscaping…
I tend to agree that that there should be a rigorous annual check after seeing some of cars on the road. Where I am, most places just pencil whip it and it’s basically the inspection is just an annual check of my cars lighting. Even though it would be a bigger burden on me because I maintain my cars well, I wouldn’t…
His mechanic Joe sounds like the kind of guy that would do a carburetor conversion on an LS because, in his words, “you can’t work on the stupid things with all those dang computers.”
It varies by state. I’m not sure about NC, but I know in WV, as long as the kid meets the manufacturers age for the atv then they are fine. Like you said, even then it’s just a ticket if they don’t.
The sparks a small pieces of carbon that have built up in the exhaust system. They break loose from high flow and vibration and then are heated up by the exhaust gases until they glow.
If it was in Virginia, you could do like a lot of people and just slap some “Farm Use” tags on it. Seeing that it’s a truck that you would probably only ever run on 2 lane roads, nobody would even question it.
When my dad was 17 or so he worked part time at a local garage doing oil changes, brakes, etc. The guy that owned the shop always had 3 or 4 cars that he had fixed up and was trying to flip. This was the mid-70's, so cars were typically old muscle cars. My dad was also good friends with the owner’s son, who had a set…
Where did I say stop in the road? I just said yield, which means allowing someone to proceed ahead of you. You can do this and signal this without either driver stopping. Hell, judging by the following distance that the guy with the dash cam had from cop, he probably would’ve let the Sequoia in with no problem.
Chill dude, I was trying to agree with you. I know this is common practice and sometimes a must in high traffic situations if you want to get anywhere. I just wanted to point out that the cop did have grounds to cite him.
The cop was in the lane and therefore had the right of way. The Sequoia should have waited until someone yielded to him before making the lane change. That being said, I agree that the cop was a jerk for not allowing the merge.
As someone who lives in VA now but still has friends and family scattered across WV, I can confirm this. Most roads heading west out of the Shenandoah Valley are a blast.
With the mileage, it would’ve been nice if they refreshed the engine while rebuilding the trans. But as long as it hasn’t been abused, and with the amount of work done so far, it probably has another 100k miles before any other major repairs need to take place. NP
I heard a story on The NY Times list a couple months ago...turns out since it only looks at weekly sales, publishers can stack a bunch of orders into a single week. That trick can almost guarantee them a spot on the list.
I’ve given up on Advance since they haven’t had the part I was looking for the last couple of times that I’ve been in there. Yeah, they can order it for me and it will be in tomorrow, but I can order myself from Amazon, save $20, and have it in two days.
Agree. I want it to be a a Wrangler competitor so bad, but I have a feeling it will be more of a mall crawler than anything.
