I wore out many of these out in my day. Depending on what custom deck I had installed, some with the auto cassette flip would always mess with these things. Basically trying to constantly flip to the other side of the tape.

Afters years and years of purchasing the newest sports games when they came out, I finally gave up this year. It’s a scam that I took entirely too long to figure out. The games year-to-year hardly change. They could easily just push the new rosters and updates, but instead put all this energy into making a new game

You don’t have to go the adblock route. Pick a browser that mutes the volume on the auto play feature. Chrome does it. I’m using Brave. So videos might still play, but much more tolerable. Doesn’t necessarily help with the size/portion of screen they take up though.

Bocce Ball. American Bocce Company (based in Chicago but have leagues in a couple other cities as well) has created a beer league bocce. They come set up just about anywhere with enough space to roll out some green turf and blow up side walls. League rules include “Beer in Hand” and “Hot Shots” - which are punishing

Don’t forget the 13(!!!!) men on the field that wasn’t called.

I’ve been having issues with Chrome and these sites lately. Not loading properly. Not letting me star comments. Etc.

Big Seinfeld fan. Know most of the lines from most of the episodes. It’s quintessential background TV. But I wasn’t ever into it when it was actually on TV. So what I’m trying to get at it is, does Netflix know they play Seinfeld at least twice a day on your local over air TV station and have been doing so for the

My dad had one of these for a few years (just to say he owned a Vette) when I was growing up. White. T-top. Red interior. I remember being mildly frightened by the car for some reason. Would buy just to say I owned a Vette.

Probably not exclusive to Chicago, but not being a native this one got me when I moved here: Passing on the right. The streets here are basically bigger than needed for two lanes, but not enough for 4 lanes and parking. So there are frequent spots where assholes who can’t wait need to absolutely get around you and

MARIJUANA. IS. LEGAL. IN. ILLINOIS!!!

Ha! Same. I grew up north of here in a town with a “ville” in the name. When I saw it was Thumb adjacent, I just sort of shrugged. I guarantee she’s not the only one who thinks like this.

I’m usually a defender of the scooter rider, but ya’ll feel free to slingshot this idiot into the ocean and make him swim to shore.

I had been carrying roughly $10,000 in debt on a relatively low 8.9% interest card since college. Graduated in 2006. Only paid it off a year into marriage in 2017. It took two incomes. I always made my payments and attempted to pay more when I could, but something else would always pop up and I’d be back where I

I cringe at the price of most of these, but if you’re looking for something colorful and unique in that Vans slip on range, then you need to check out Bucketfeet. www.bucketfeet.com

This is definitely a poll tax and ridiculous and obvious racist voter suppression etc. Is there any data on what the total owed is? I think it’d be kinda funny to just pay it all off for everyone as a giant FU to the right.

This is an old man saying “ATE” when he meant “CHEWED”, right? ...right?

The beauty of futbal/soccer, and probably one of the reasons it’s the most popular sport around the world, is that all it takes is a ball. That’s it. Doesn’t even have to be a great ball. Something round that I can kick and won’t hurt my foot in doing so. It’s the most accessible thing ever. And we have managed to

The long distance Amtrak system sucks, but isn’t your logic wrong about reasons to invest in that service? I think part of the reason the Northeast corridor is so profitable and liked is that the trains are faster. If they could mimic that in other parts of their system, it would stand to reason that more people would

Why aren’t health insurance companies liable in cases like this? I can understand if they want to recommend or suggest a cheaper or generic alternative. But when a patient dies because they didn’t get the proper medicine, they should be liable. Our system sucks.
