I had to go to Water Rehab after I saw that movie.

I have actually read a few reviews that say his Lex Luthor is a highlight of the film and his acting has the most range in the cast.

I put that acting choice equally on Cavill & Snyder.

It's kind of sad that the new choices were successful (Batfleck, Gadot's WW) but it's the old choices (Snyder, Cavill, over-serious story) that are seemingly bringing this movie down. Choices that were given their chance in Man of Steel already.

If Richie meets JJ Cale, then we know where the inspiration for the song came from :)

Too bad JJ Cale didn't write "Cocaine" until '76. It's the perfect song for this show. Scorsese definitely gets the coke use across to the viewer.

It really picks up after the 4th episode. The 3rd and 4th episodes are pretty weak overall. The last two episodes are incredible though. I really like how they edit between two characters doing the same thing a world apart at the end of a few episodes.

Sorry, his prose (which includes his short stories).

It's a classic noir story. I'm really surprised this hasn't been mentioned in any of the reviews yet. Pizzolato is obsessed with crime noir. His crime novels are great.

Great review. This is why I come here. For someone to add a new perspective and help me see things I didn't notice, for example Loretta as a symbol of hope. Good stuff.
