Ok, now this looks like it's worth installing. Often times I get annoyed when my keyboards batteries are dieing...this will help to solve that problem. If only I had a media center I could try it on...

@Richaod: I don't know. I haven't gotten it to work. It can't find any of my music in it's database, so really, it was just a hassle.

not that bad, really.

Well of course not! It's the US government, remember?

with a few...okay a hell of a lot of modifications this could, could, COULD, be pretty cool. but as is, it's just terrible. I think if I want some fancy lighting on my keyboard I'll either buy a backlit one or do that tube light thing. That sounds cool.

FAIL. "non-premium" bots can only stay on for 2 hours >.< I'm not going to pay for a service like this when I could just run a bloody perl/python script!

@Tactical-Incineration-Development: It's a gawker thing. If you look through some of the other blogs, they often say things along the lines of "hit the jump". It's for the front page-when he(she) says "hit the jump", (s)he means click the link that says "more" to see more information about it. But "hit the jump" is

@mercerm: Well, the comments have probably stopped coming, but if you see this, look up "swaptunes" in installer.app. It will only work with 2 machines, but it still works pretty well I think. Not sure if that's what you need, though.

I can't even download the thing!

@thejynxed: Ok, it's not adding to the conversation and only adding to the OS flame war, but I feel I must say: You haven't used it recently, have you? tsk, tsk...another poor person stuck with windows because he refuses to retry things once every couple of years. Anyway, I'm considering giving windows XP another shot

Really? I run Vista on a brand-new Dell at school. This isn't any mass-bought machine either, this is a high-end machine ($2500, roughly) that I'm the only one using. I've gotten patches and things, and it's crashed at least once a day ever since I started using it. Unfortunately, I know it's not going to get any

the video is no longer available?

@imrcly: no, I haven't. I just tried the thing on This ubuntu page, to no avail. I'll definitely try that.

Well, aside from these poor fools who refuse to try out an ipod touch and immediately condemn it to either "mac drones" or "uneducated m$ users", I do have an ipod touch, and I have already synced it with my xubuntu install (that I need to update). However, I seem to have a problem retreiving my wiped album art. Did

@Pepper: I know, its news to me too! Seriously though, this sounds awesome. I can't wait to try it once I get flash installed.

xubuntu for me, and I'm not concerned about friends who I send attachments to...because I don't send attachments. My mom has AVG installed, but I'm going to switch her over to ubuntu because all she ever uses is word and firefox. My dad uses whatever his work uses, 'cause it's a work laptop, and my sis runs the same
