It wasn't all that great. It was expensive, the best machines were always busy or down, jerks were everywhere. Think online trolls only in person. (Gaming has always had assholes, after all) and it was expensive.

It is incredibly easy to piggyback this onto normal shipments to one or two places in each region. Why do you think companies like to offer Gamestop limited stock on things like this and sometimes have it be online only?

The did re-release them as far as they're concerned, twice in fact. They've already killed the C&C name in total. It's virtually useless as a brand now. Best to just accept the unofficial ways to play online while you can.

Consoles suck. PCs rock. (for those with disposable income and don't use it on Apple nonsense yearly, or those that can for both) All the "freedom" being offered on consoles now is old hat on PC. Thanks to HDMI and console controllers integrating better, there's really no excuse.
