The first is that it's a free-to-play game with microtransactions – what these cover remains to be decided, but I'm told it'll be a mixture of cosmetic items and progression "boosts" for those who are short on time. The second is stylistic. Ranging from lizardmen engineers through feline Arctic survivalists to my

The all-time greatest unexpected broken moment I ever encountered in this franchise was in The Sims 2, when the Grim Reaper, after collecting the last sim in a house who angered their button-pressing overlord*, stopped off in the bathroom to take a dump on his way out. The angel of death, with a pixel blur, taking

Mario kart 8 is already a great game. The best in the series in my personal opinion (even though I love double dash). It has one major flaw, yes, the battle mode. And several tiny flaws (the uninspired roster, the lack of a timer, the lack to control the mario kart tv camera angle, etc).

Is Red Yoshi new? I don't remember that being in the game.

"Slowly but surely, it looks like Mario Kart 8 is shaping up to be the game it was always meant to be." That's a bit of a backhanded compliment. Wasn't the game already awesome on its own?

Give me a real battle mode modeled after N64 and we have the best Mario Kart in the series.

As much as some people don't like DLC you have to admit, when Nintendo do it, it's far from half-arsed.

Gotta love the FFX music around 10:00

My son has the 4 key version and while I thought it was a ridiculous waste of money at the time I have to admit it's been useful. Several people in our family have switched to mechanical keyboards and this comes in handy for people to decide what keys to get.

Everybody views the N64 tracks through their nostalgia-tinted glasses. I honestly think that the N64 Rainbow Road is easily the worst track in MK8, not because it's short, but because it's BORING. I thought rainbow road was supposed to be MK's notoriously difficult track. All of the turns are long and drawn out, the

Pretty much this. I was upset about the new version at first. The original was more of a marathon than a sprint and I like that. But then......I got over it and just learned to enjoy it for what it is.

I just like new stuff.

Literally every Metroid game has rewarded speedy players with a more revealing look at Samus in a bikini after the closing credits.

And the art! That game had a super varied amount of locales. This game takes place in a cave.

Also, it's weapons do not have charge levels.
