Is it just me or is this show starting to feel like The Sopranos? (I mean that as a compliment.) Like Tony, Lenny's mood and attitude seem to shift from scene to scene. He's got a marketing Dr Melfi and a symbolic animal in that kangaroo. And seemingly major plot points in one episode seems to evaporate off screen

Weird Al's "Mission Statement" video is a funny and insightful take on how the spirit of the hippies became the corporate speak of today.

Ceci n'est pas une pape

Funny how it never works that way for climate change.

Let America Be America Again

If I understood the math correctly the PM should still have the advantage. Lenny says that 87% of voters are Catholic but only 75% of the PM's voters are Catholic. So wouldn't Catholics staying home hurt his opponents more? And presumably the Catholics supporting the candidate of marriage equality and higher taxes on

I think it's a play on the Holy Door. Depending on how you see it, Lenny either completely reverses the traditional meaning or recaptures it. From Wikipedia:

How about the mysterious golden door framed liked the monolith at the end of 2001?

Yeah, I pictured Barristan Selmy throwing down his armor before the Iron Throne. But this did not go down that way.

He won't be walking around like his shit don't stink anymore, that's for sure.

"Pass the Manischewitz" is pretty good but my favorite is "Oy Vey! Such a Draft in Here."

I know I'm super late here, but has anyone else noticed how before Ben was brought low he was always starting a new extra-long cigar, but ever since he always has a short, stubby cigar? It's not a subtle symbol but it works as a sight gag that never calls attention to itself.

In retrospect everything we were willing to write off as sitcom hijinks … were clues.

Also, for such a Young Pope, why Salinger over Pynchon or Elena Ferrante? And I think the Kubrick reference was meant to underline how much Sorrentino was influenced by him.

Heather earned however many sunsets they paid her in this week.

I'd hate to bring up the Holocaust, but…

I noticed she looked different but thought, Oh, it's three years later and she's been driven mad by what happened, that's why she looks so different. But I was suspicious of the therapist.

But right after that Rebecca said, "No. Nu-uh-uh, we're not cancelling anything…. After today, after today no cancelling. We're never cancelling." That has to mean something, right guys? Right?

I know this was ultimately the point, but why did Mary even think she could protect herself or her family by running? If she truly fell off the grid, wouldn't Ajay have flushed her out by threatening Sherlock, John and the baby? That would obviously have been Plan B if Sherlock hadn't made Plan A- following her loved

I lean toward the outlines of Prairie's story being true with the details being mostly delusions, but pretending it's all true for a minute the bit that drove me crazy was curing the ALS. Why didn't they insist on being rescued first? They didn't have to do it there. Hap had no role in the healing. They have all the
