Did Captain America in Winter Soldier? I don't remember that.
Did Captain America in Winter Soldier? I don't remember that.
Whedon's ability to create art from the first Avengers movie showed that artistic vision is possible in these movies.
Winter Soldier is good! Tell your wife that it isn't like other superhero movies (or, at least, that there's more going on than just superhero 'splosions). I'm burnt out on splosions.
Yeah, since I missed opening weekend, I'll probably wait until it shows up on demand or something.
What's a weekend?
OMG that sounds awesome.
I get too annoyed by how expensive matinees are. $8 at 10am. Grumble grumble.
What kind of woman DOESN'T HAVE HER OWN X-FILES BOXSET?!! Clearly, the problem is the kind of women @MisterPemberton:disqus's friends are dating.
I watched Daredevil, I know very little about Marvel, and I was able to follow the show.
The reality of the situation is not the same as why Joan wanted to take a stand. Would she have been successful? No, most likely not. But Roger saying it was about the money—that's remarkably tone-deaf.
When Carol said, "I'd rather be with the guy who couldn't go through with leaving someone out in the desert," I was like, "What? I'd rather be with the guy that follows through."
Phil II should have driven Tandy to another town, because Tandy is lazy and might have just stayed somewhere that was comfortable. Leaving him in the desert was a strategic mistake because it made people feel sorry for Tandy.
Man, his knitting was flawless. I suspect he already knew how to knit, which is awesome. I'm fully Phil II.
When they panned to the ISS, I really expected there to be 100 surly teens waiting to get on a shuttle to go back to Earth.
That's what Phil was doing for the 2 years prior to meeting Tandy and the gang!
Phil seemed like a "live and let live" kind of guy. When Tandy said he hated Phil, Phil didn't get in his face about it—he just calmly declared he was moving out. He wasn't confrontational (until Phil knocked over his lamp, anyway). If Carol left Phil, I'd imagine he'd accept that and not chase her down.
I hope they keep the thread of being able to raid museums, jewelry stores, and making margarita pools. Because that, plus raisin balls, are why I watch the show.
LAST RESORT!
So they're basically taking a tour of the least-livable towns in America now?
Joan was right, it wasn't about the cash. It was about her dignity as a person.
