It's so strange to me that what I seem to like about it is it's "old-fashioned" feel (the hammy musical numbers, the sluggish choreography, the silly puns and wordplay), whereas what my parents HATE about it is how it's old-fashioned.

The staginess is THE POINT! Politicians in the 18th century were stagey—-they had to be because that's how you got famous back then. You had to be stagey and boisterous as there were no TV cameras to help a politician along. John Adams was one of the biggest hams of all time, particularly in the courtroom.

Oh, Darke, we used to be friends! Once again, I have to side with your wife. 1776, the movie version, is the greatest thing to ever happen to America.

Sit down, James Allen, sit down, James Allen!

It cannot be denied!

Oh, Mr. Meth Lab Shenanigans you are driving me to homicide!!!

Where's me rum?!!

See, I thought Reloaded and Revolutions were terrible…but then I saw Jupiter Ascending and I realized that Reloaded and Revolutions could have been sooooo much worse.

Yes, but if you decide you don't like your caste, you become an Untouchable, and are thrown out of society forever. It's like the society WANTS to create a lower-class of revolutionary independent thinkers.

That's the funniest thing I've read in a while, RobertMosesSupposesErroneously.

Shut your mouth! Underworld is far better than this trash.

The names made me think that the author came up with names like "Courage" and "Poverty," then ran those words through a thesaurus search.

See, I saw this movie, and I have no memory of there being two male characters, or of anyone dying, or…okay, I'm pretty sure I fell asleep while the kids in black were running around doing parkour.

Based on his lackluster performance in this episode? Yes.

That's what I was thinking, too.

Mac Kills His Dad was funny (I loved the detail about using a stop sign to behead a guy), but Charlie Work was the best episode of the entire series, let alone this season.

They could have gotten a lot more mileage out of the Crossfit/kettle bells jokes, even if they had just recorded 1 minute of people actually at a Crossfit gym. I was really hoping for more from this Crossfit-cult setup.

I was partial to conspiratorial low-voiced Dee.

As I recall, 9 & 10 were the lowest points (unlike with IASIP). Wasn't Season 10 the one where they sent Daphne to fat camp?!! Though Season 11 of Frasier was an improvement.

I feel like we were watching different shows. Buffy often struggles with the darkness of being a Slayer (rather literally, when Faith shows up, and more figuratively in pretty much every season finale of the show). The Slayer is part demon, after all…
