This movie would have been hilariously fantastic if it was a completely nonwhite cast except for a violently angry, murderous Christian Bale.

The one nice thing is that they are probably politer than the people who are genetically obligated to love you.

Are there long, goofy action sequences (like the river barrels in the 2nd one)? I enjoyed the slapstick humor, and it reminded me of Pirates of the Caribbean in an, "I bet kids will like this!" way.

The History of the World: Part I and Life of Brian are still out there.

There's a Chris O'Dowd movie out and no one told me?!!

You know way too much about Geoffrey Arend.

Ew.

It seems like Holt holds Jake to a higher standard because, despite all outward appearance, Holt probably thinks Jake could be a supervising officer one day (see Holt putting Jake in charge during Thanksgiving). Jake has really good arrest numbers and leads a lot of trainings, etc. So Holt was mad at Jake because he

I take it you're a fan of Scone Zones?

I've felt that way about Community. Glad this show helps you.

We all have to marinate in it.

I got insanely excited during Thanksgiving, telling my family all about Terry Crews' talent and general awesomeness. At the end of my rant, they gave me blank stares and said, "Who? Oh, that guy from White Chicks?!!"

Jake can't even reference Die Hards 4 or 5!

My coffee needs are also important!

Yes, that would have made the episode have weight, at least. If it actually affected the fabric of their relationship, the episode would have been a necessary moment of development. I don't think we got too much development out of the plot at all.

But if it were a special date bra, I find it even more unbelievable that she'd leave without it. Because that means that it was EXPENSIVE.

I also thought the actors played that bit perfectly, but I was confused about how Diaz managed to leave a bra. It's not the kind of thing a person forgets in the morning. A scarf? Sure. But a bra is the kind of thing you notice while you're getting dressed.

I legitimately don't understand why people don't love this show. As you say, it starts off strong. While some episodes are not very good, on average this show is extremely funny. The characters are relatable, there's exciting cop-stuff (people love to watch cops on TV!), the acting and timing are great…I don't know

Well, there used to be a show called Garfield & Friends, so…

I thought Rosa was in to him because he's irresponsible/living with his uncle at age 31, etc. Somehow, I could see Rosa being in to guys that aren't driven like she is.
