There are horror movies where very little of it happens: they’re more focused on tension and/or jump scares. Think less Nightmare on Elm Street, more Poltergeist or What Lies Beneath. I think. It’s been a while.

Or this guy:
a horror movie that focuses specifically on showing very grotesque and disturbing violations or mutilations of the human body. Think: Alien, The Human Centipede, Rosemary’s Baby — stuff where fucking up a human body is the centerpiece of the movie
Good question. I can’t think of any recent global events that would have made it a challenge for them to travel and shoot videos together.
With all that money (and friends, it appears), why doesn’t anyone tell her that the best way to get beyond this is NOT to whine about cancel culture, but to simply do some good works? Why didn’t she take the time to meet with Stodden and maybe launch an anti-bullying thing for girls? Or work with teens “in trouble”…
I’m currently designing a Lawn Mowing game myself, oddly. It’s more irreverent, so I’m really hoping that this is playing it 100% straight.
I definitely am not saying QA is crazy punishing. A close friend was a QA tester at San Diego Studios and the thought of what they went through on a daily basis made me shut the door on that option REAL quick.
While in no way do I intend to diminish the often-overwhelming amount of work that goes into making video games (the majority of which falls to the grunts rather than leadership), what Schofield is talking about here sounds suspiciously like a vacation. Sure, it’s probably hard to think of it that way when you’re…
Except the big issue with Star Wars was that they very notably didn’t have a plan. Feige seems to have a five year, if not ten year, plan.
IO9: Ryan Reynolds made a cringe-worthy video of corporate synergy that heralds our dystopian future of corporate entertainment overlords.
“Not sure if that was as clever as they thought it was, but I enjoyed it. I do like some good ol’ wry humor.”
your comment works best in Korgs voice of course.
It’s brilliant marketing no matter which way you look at it.
It’s an advertisement for Thor, Deadpool, and Free Guy
And the future of the MCU
the Marvel Cinematic Universe usually gives its villains just as much gravitas as its heroes: Loki, Thanos, Killmonger, Red Skull
It’s LITERALLY the point of Yelena bringing it up, to set up the inevitable comic payoff of Yelena doing the same thing. Don't know how it doesn't get a mention.
I, for one, can’t wait to see all the resultant bitching & whining from the ever-present contingent of booklicking, cop-fellating, fascist fucks - I mean, reasonable modern-day conservatives - that soil the Jalopnik comment sections.
Oh, and if you, the reader, are thinking Jalopnik is about to become a little bit less left-leaning in her absence, I promise you, it’s going to get much worse. Not because Erin was a voice of restraint, but because she’d want it that way.
Who cares? What’s fake? So all of the streamers you watch are “authentic?” Define “real” or “authentic.” God, I hope you don’t like any musicians! Did you know live shows are all an act?!
Playing for an audience and playing for yourself is two different thing. If you conflate the two you wont get massive fanbase.
