I will continue to defend the SSR. I personally think that a sports car with a useable (in the context of a sports car) truck bed sounds phenomenal. I also love how something that crazy looking made it into production.

I booked DMX at a show in Atlanta around... I want to say it was Halloween 2011. Anyway, I didn’t really know what to expect. At that point in his career, DMX was something of a novelty name to add to a bill. Our other acts that night were all pretty standard EARMILK fare, and our audience was probably just old enough…

The only measurable way Annihilation is good is if you get enjoyment out of how bad it is. Which I do!

Eh, I’d still put this one over Annihilation. The effects and fight choreography alone make it better, plus Kano is awesome.

No, you don’t ground it, you lean into the crazy. The franchise needs a James Gunn-esque director to tackle the movie.

I’m kinda hoping this means Nitara will be a dlc character for MK11. She could use a design overhaul like Tanya and Tremor received back in MKX. Her appearing in both this movie and last year’s animated Scorpion-focused animated movie would just be odd otherwise.

I was hoping for something other than Fighting For The Fate Of The World™.

Watched this a few days back when it opened locally. It’s not bad honestly. There’s some weirdness, the acting is generally decent, with the specific exception of Kung Lao and Liu Kang, who have a weird fucking dynamic together, and the Kung Lao actor seems to be reacting to bits that only he can see.

Yea... I hate to say it, but the first movie actually had a better story.

For the games, definitely. For 9/X and *especially* 11, the Story Mode was the #1, #2, and so forth selling point. A whole lot of story and not a whole lot of gameplay in the MK11 launch trailer!
