It’s dangerous.
It’s dangerous.
Jesus I too cannot remember the 360 E.
I legit had to look it up, because I forgot the 360 E was a thing.
Blows my mind how much expression that guy can get out of literally just moving two dots and a mouth around on a static drawing.
I haven‘t seen this. Thanks for sharing it!
So shameless plug; I do actually have a small personal blog on a Wordpress (yeah I know...) site. I typically write about games such as this or muse as to why certain titles didn’t come to the US. I also try and play everything myself and not say use an emulator or similar unless it’s the only route. I’m not a very…
I’m just starting my second play through, at about 96 hours in, according to steam so far. Been loving every minute. No game breaking bugs, only 2 hard crashes to desktop in that time. A couple of minor glitches when the game first launched that have apparently been fixed with the patches, as I’m not seeing them this…
Adam, you seem like a fellow gentleman of discerning tastes: Here are three of my favorite unheralded racing games you might want to think about tracking down and playing if you get bored (though obviously, you may have played one or two of them.)
Yeah, the first game (Titled “THE Need For Speed”, who remembers that?!) was choppy as hell, and by the time of the 3rd game, all realism was basically out the window by then (but for the better), emphasizing those big powerslides in those wide curves.
Totally understand that, as a white person I have no claim to entertainment from Black sources. Like I’m certainly capable of it, but I don’t deserve it, and if spreading that will do more harm than good to Black culture then it makes sense to keep it protected until such time as it can be properly and safely shared.
Took the words right outta my mouth!! It’s been such a weird, polarizing thing to talk about. I am about 60 hours in on Xbox series X and I absolutely love it. I play it as much as I can, and I am constantly thinking about it while I am at work. It’s really got it’s hooks in me.
To add a bit more of personal musings here, something else that strikes me as I think back on the game now having played it in full is that I don’t even know if I could even call it a good game. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t call bad necessary, but the first word that comes to mind is decent and at times fun, but…
Man, it’s weird to just read what a wild ride Cyberpunk’s release was and shocking to realize that it’s only been a month. Like that is a lot of stuff happening.
I put in 50 hours on PS4, between switching over to stadia, where I’ve now logged 150ish hours. I’m on my second playthrough, and I’m over the moon for it. Yeah, it has rough edges and bugs, but my favorite games of all time are janky, buggy messes, so i don’t sweat. The world is beautiful, the exploration is fun, the…
In a vacuum, I’d be 10000% about “distributing the wealth” as far as cultural nuance and experience goes. But I think for a lot of black people, myself included, we have a love hate relationship with it. Mostly just because of the concept of cultural appropriation.
Regardless of what we do, cultural norms change and…
Silly pet peeve that is only tangentially related alert:
Ian writes, “It’s hard to pinpoint one key detail or moment that made this scene strike a chord with creators and online audiences.” - Yeahhhhh, my gut reaction was always that the (mostly white) online audiences love imitating Black people and the scene ends with a sing-song delivery of nigga, so you knew it was…
