Totally understand that, as a white person I have no claim to entertainment from Black sources. Like I’m certainly capable of it, but I don’t deserve it, and if spreading that will do more harm than good to Black culture then it makes sense to keep it protected until such time as it can be properly and safely shared.

Took the words right outta my mouth!! It’s been such a weird, polarizing thing to talk about. I am about 60 hours in on Xbox series X and I absolutely love it. I play it as much as I can, and I am constantly thinking about it while I am at work. It’s really got it’s hooks in me.

To add a bit more of personal musings here, something else that strikes me as I think back on the game now having played it in full is that I don’t even know if I could even call it a good game. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t call bad necessary, but the first word that comes to mind is decent and at times fun, but

Man, it’s weird to just read what a wild ride Cyberpunk’s release was and shocking to realize that it’s only been a month. Like that is a lot of stuff happening.

I put in 50 hours on PS4, between switching over to stadia, where I’ve now logged 150ish hours. I’m on my second playthrough, and I’m over the moon for it. Yeah, it has rough edges and bugs, but my favorite games of all time are janky, buggy messes, so i don’t sweat. The world is beautiful, the exploration is fun, the

In a vacuum, I’d be 10000% about “distributing the wealth” as far as cultural nuance and experience goes. But I think for a lot of black people, myself included, we have a love hate relationship with it. Mostly just because of the concept of cultural appropriation.

Silly pet peeve that is only tangentially related alert:

Ian writes, “It’s hard to pinpoint one key detail or moment that made this scene strike a chord with creators and online audiences.” - Yeahhhhh, my gut reaction was always that the (mostly white) online audiences love imitating Black people and the scene ends with a sing-song delivery of nigga, so you knew it was

This game reminds me of how much I hate when non-Black people are privy to Black conversations. But for just this once, I’m going to bury that seething hatred of things like this because I really liked this scene, and I laugh at it every time when Franklin reaches for his yee-yee ass haircut. If you don’t change it by

No you fucking can’t claim the ethnicity of the people that raised you unless you actually are that fucking ethnicity.

“If she wants to identify this way, she is more than entitled.”

I am literally un-greying you so you can explain your statement that she was brought up in a Latinx community. Please provide details and sources for your statement.

I’ve been sim racing for the past 13 years. I used a G25 first for 5 years, then upgraded to a G27 which I’ve now had for the past 8 years.

I started sim racing with Live For Speed on my old ThinkPad T40 and Gran Turismo, and have added countless sims to my roster since those days including iRacing, Assetto Corsa,

this ain’t it bro

they let these fucking crackers take over the goddamn capitol building!

The Thrustmaster T3PA 3-pedal pedal set is pretty good out of the box, can be easily modded for even better feel and is a great addition to a T300, which is a superior budget sim wheel, all for the cost of the Logitech wheel (and often on sale, just like Logitech).

And everyone has the right to ignore them if they want to.”

Let’s move past the usual “I’m not up on every single video game cultural discussion so I’m going to make fun of it by pretending anyone with knowledge of it is an idiot” discussion that tends to surface around her around streamers. Yes people like these people. Yes there’s probably something you don’t understand
