keep in mind for anyone with a higher budget, the 980 and 970 are out now. much more reasonably priced than the last couple year's gtx flagships. the 960 and below are sure to follow in a few weeks/months.

not necessarily OS X. I know someone who carries an 11" air that runs win 7 for work stuff (not sure if just win 7 or bootcamp/dual boot).

I think pushbullet encompasses command-c's functionality and then some.

you can buy a cheaper router or find an old router you might have and convert it into a bridge. multiple ports for whatever is in your room is a plus (game consoles).
