less bloat maybe? if you don't need picture manager, and just want a batch upload app for g+, this does the trick without the bells and whistles that Picasa adds.

has there already been a libre/google/office comparison?

as seen here there are also versions available for os x (intel), linux (debian or fedora), and also non-install/portable windows version.

update: yeah it works! just install it. then when you go to youtube app, play the video, share to Floating youtube and it will open the popup player. still plays audio when screen is off!

from the description of the app on the play store, it does support this (when screen is off). I'm trying it

thanks. I read the actual description on the play store and it seems to be what I want. hopefully it works

is there an app that allows youtube to continue playing while screen is off or while in background? sometimes, just want to listen to some news, music or other video while driving via bluetooth to car speakers

yeah I figured out that's where non-editor content is now. I miss the old #openthread #tips etc. haha

I think it depends on age, maturity and trust you have between each other. but don't be underhanded about it. it depends on the personality and behavior of a kid on how hands on you need to be.

a most hilariously ambiguous typo indeed. alas, it is the latter.

just been away from checking my LH feed for a while and not commenting as much as before. you can blame life, reddit and other things.

feels good to be back. nice to see you're still runing tips box whitson

they price match specific stores only. see here

good luck trying to get in. tickets sold out within the first few days of sale. your chance of getting a ticket is through scalpers that charge exorbitant prices

any reason you don't use headphones? 3.5mm extensions are cheap

thanks for the heads up. I suppose you could only turn it on when really needed and have it off by default. I imagine most of the time you'd be using headphones

this is helpful. I'll be flying to seattle in 3 weeks for PAX :)

this only applies to removing from the all list. not the installed apps. for that, just use a batch uninstall app.

as I said in earlier comment, long press the app listing. now you can select multiple apps. when done, just delete/remove.

yeah I found a tip on how to mass delete via the app. long press and then you can select multiple to remove. I had a 100+ app purge the other day. and still over 250 left (that I'm keeping)
