I’m the reverse. Grew up in NoLa and moved to the DMV 13 years ago.  I honestly can’t complain. Nola is worse. Much worse. The cold is the least annoying thing about the weather up here. Lately,however, the wind has been trying hard to compete with The Chicago Hawk.  I just refuse to go outside from December to late…

Lol, I’m actually from here! Born in raised in the Philly/South Jersey area. It makes no sense that I can’t tolerate weather I’ve experienced my entire life. 

I’m from the West Indies my first taste of cold I wanted to go back home. I still hate winter with a passion and every September I want to pack my bags and go home. I miss going to the beach anytime I feel like it.

I had lived in Arizona and Texas and Georgia, so I had thought I was familiar with all kinds of heat, both wet and dry, before I went over - but Iraq and Kuwait absolutely broke me. I don’t know what it is, but those extra few degrees or so are just killer.
