I co-sign on Baby Boy. It, along with Biker Boyz (the ultimate Get A Check movie which somehow had 2 Oscar winners in the lead roles) were both movies that were smarter than they had any business being.

All black cast, or at least more than 50%, with a black director. And the story and dialogue is something Karen in HR is never going to understand. IMO

He definitely was arrogant. Thinking that if he died it would be a sacrifice and that his life should be seen as a positive for other kids that were like him. What is the positive? He did not get away from the violence or the pain, he was a damaged person who damaged others.
