My issue with the curren tlineup is....well you put it right, design is too over the top. It lacks subtlety and is too much aimed at the russian-arabic-millionaire-with-no-taste kind of client. Same goes in much of the production of luxury goods in the old country. My dad used to be a yacht designer, and even there

Yet, people who say this now, 2-10 yrs later will talk about how “boring” Huracan’s design is, and how the 488 has character, and will point out the various “character lines”.

Unrelated but kinda related, that 488 doorhandle in the top pic still annoys the crap out of me... It’s so badly placed... Goddamnit Ferrari sort your shit out!!

I guess the sarcasm didnt get through on my original post.

Funny, I find the 430 to be a mess of designs and one of Ferrari’s ugliest creations.

Tavarish, this may be the first article you’ve written in a long time that I wholheartedly agree with. I believe that Ferrari owes Pininfarina the business they took away, and I also believe that they benefitted greatly from working with them as well.

Simply put, the difference in absolute beauty and absolute

This is COTD material.

There is a reason why the first UCS Lego Star Wars sets waaaay back in 2000 (that makes me feel old) were the X-wing and the TIE Interceptor, not the standard fighter. The Interceptor was just that badass.

Interceptor is a great design, the royal guard ones are amazing looking

This one looks way more plausible, at least in terms of atmosphere and pilot situational awareness.

Me too. Always seemed intimidating...especially when you battle them in the Rebel Assault games :)

Beautiful plane, especially so when it is all dirty! Now if they would have only made the refueling probe retractable......

They almost cancelled the C-17.... that would have been one hell of a mistake.

The F-111 was supposed to be an Air Force/Navy multirole fighter bomber but they ended up scrapping the naval variant due to development/cost problems. Trying to do too many things at once resulted in an aircraft that didn’t do anything well and was too heavy (for the Navy at least). A great historical example if

Su-35 is stunning.

That was going to be my comment, actually.

They can make whatever excuses they want, but the fact remains: they sent a car that they hand-selected themselves, along with the head of Corvette engineering, to go do this published test, and it couldn’t finish without major mechanical malfunctions. It’s obvious the Z06 was a step too far for Chevrolet.

2003 Nissan 350Z

First off its a Chevy, second... its a very unremarkable looking car. Sure its got a V8 but... Eh.
