Mapping is a VERY deep subject and city mapping is even more treacherous, esp. if the plan is for a robotaxi service, as you have to mark all the “allowed” pickup/dropoff locations as well. Tesla doesn’t want to build a robotaxi service, so at least they don’t give a **** about that.

The problem with detailed maps, which all the OTHER SDC’s are doing, is they cost money and time to produce and update. Which means they are effectively geofences. Their SDC’s can’t work without the hi-res maps down to the lane markers. But with that information, their AI can reach more nuance decisions.

Monetization doesn’t include gambling. HUNDREDS of games sell “cosmetic” microtransactions nowadays.

By that logic you can blame CS:GO itself too.

Bah, they could have gambled with anything. The fact that they chose something “available in-game” is purely out of “convenience”.

One of DHL’s planes got it taking off from Baghdad back in 2003. It managed to land mostly intact with ZERO hydraulics.

You know Tesla will insist that its AI training did not include those dumb dummies. :)

That is the huge debate among the Level 4/5 autonomy practioners now.

I’d way the screen up front will likely be eliminated, or at least not “dashboard” mounted”, but likely mounted from the ceiling.

I think he did mention that was BEFORE the repairs. And Ed / Tavarish roasted him for cheating on the budget not once by twice. :)

So they learn to stretch limo a compact SUV. Hmmm...

Didn’t Hoovie claimed he swapped batteries in his Tesla S for Car Trek 6 for about 5 grand? Yep, he did.

Wonder if SF gas stations have this or are most grandfathered an exception. There was a pretty infamous gas station / BK / Starbucks / Car Wash at the corner of 9th and Howard... It had a fire when a CNG minibus was overheating and the guy was dumb enough to park it at a fuel island (that whole place has no mechanic

The question is how many rallies he intends to drive.

Sounds like it was just poorly managed. He should have offered a full refund to everybody when the land deal fell through, and start from scratch with the Panthera version, plus crowd-fund expansions to Panthera’s Storage for “member cars”. The shifting and lack of transparency was what sunk the whole thing. Frankly,

Frankly, I’d prefer the 4 LED graph to indicate how hard the brake pedal was being pushed. A feature that was proposed a couple DECADES ago.

Apple has released an app that let’s you detect AirTags with an Android phone.

Nope, I’m an outcast. :)

FWIW, drivers are trained to ALWAYS keep their hands on the wheel... EVEN in autonomous mode. So having hands on the wheel doesn’t prove anything.

I am going to vote for most Pontiacs. They’re supposed to be the sportier cousins to other GM brands. Instead, we get milquetoast crap like the Sunfire, or the experiments like Aztek.
