The NRA has basically become PETA, only with more money for lawyers and lobbying and less shoestring viral marketing and publicity stunts.

Sadly enough, this is what the NRA used to be. They were about education, awareness, safety, community.
I own a gun, but it’s Weimar Luger that my father-in-law brought back from Europe at the end of WWII. I've never belonged to the NRA, but my impression is that at this point it's simply a lobbying organization for gun manufacturers. They'll use militant, right-wing arguments to motivate their members, but their…
I would, without owning a gun, be 100% in agreement with any gun group that made it their mission to be simply a gun safety organization. No politics, no us vs them bullshit. Just gun safety, which is something everyone needs to know.
Reasonable legislation?
The problem is that the NRA has become so militant and right winged, instead of focusing on sporting and safety, which is what it was originally founded on.
This. I was raised with guns, and I attended NRA sponsored events as a child that centered around firearms safety. At 18 I was a “card-carrying member.” In 2008 I revoked my membership and seeing the radicalization begin, and I’ve been a vocal opponent of the NRA ever since.
It’s a shame most people are too…
Thoughts and prayers for the NRA.
I wonder if you can advertise rocket launchers and dynamite? That is better anyway.
No no no my friend. The NRA isn’t ‘silent’ on responsible gun control: they spend tens of millions ACTIVELY lobbying/bullying/threatening against every hint of responsible legislation.
The NRA seems to think any publicity is good publicity. I can’t stand them (except for Colion Noir) and I wish they would go away.
Exactly. No wonder the San Francisco Board of Supervisors passed a resolution declaring them to be a domestic terrorism organization this past Thursday.
Mehh. The NRA is like that “friend” who is always shit talking behind your back. The NRA is currently a very disliked organization by both sides. The left hates the NRA because they think they’re the equivalent of the boogeyman. The right hates the NRA because they’re silent on 99% of anti-gun legislation; mainly the…
Its a common tactic taken by authoritarian organizations.
And they shouldn't care. Crying wolf works for a while, but in a few months time, people will forget nascar ever advertised guns.
It’s extremely frustrating how if anyone takes any stance on firearms other than completely unfettered access to every firearm ever conceived, you are “ANTI-GUN.”
Not to mention the fact that he’s an ex-Mercedes dealer tech. So while he’s not specifically a BMW expert, he’s a hell of a lot more knowledgeable, and better equipped with tools/lifts/etc. than pretty much any average Joe Shadetree.
“Despite having no experience working on BMWs”
Don’t be confused, they are doing this because it’s in their best interest to have just one standard in the US. They are of the opinion that Trump cannot legally remove CARB’s power to set fuel efficiency and emissions standards. There are something like 15ish other states that follow CARB guidelines. If Trump…
