I’m all for universal healthcare, like they have in every country worth living in. But, it can’t be done overnight. The insurance industry is too big to be dismantled that quickly. Obamacare is just a stepping stone. The next step is to start gradually lowering the medicare age.

Sadly, I agree with you. Better to be genuine and alone than an artificial social animal. I remember a time when I enjoyed the company of others and sought out group activities. But a lifetime of disappointment and realization that 99% of the people I thought were trustworthy turning out to be people with an angle

My vision is like -6.75 in both eyes. WHO IS POISONING MEEEEEE?!?!?

My club, Misanthropes United, would beg to differ with the conclusions in this article. You can hear all about our perspectives at our next meeting, which will be taking place never.

Sean Spicer,

Maybe.

99.999999% of Iowans do *not* want them - or King - in the state.

That’s not the problem with insurance. That is the basic premise of insurance. Everyone throws money in a pot. 90% of the time no one has an issue and is just adding to the pot. Then when you do have an issue, you take what you need out of the pot. Was it more than you put it? Maybe, but there is still enough for the

...It’s not the “problem.” It is the entire point of insurance. It is designed to be a wide cast communal net to catch you if you fall. What’s better as a trapeze artist: a safety net where you can still get hurt or die, or landing on that cold hard ground. The problem is that it is a for profit business.

GREAT FOR YOU! SERIOUSLY!

‘Life is hard and not fair’? Yeah, that’s why people have insurance! You realize other industrialized nations don’t see people going bankrupt due to enormous medical debts, right? This isn’t rocket science. Eliminate the greed factor and bring down the cost of care and insurance.

Except we have budgeted like responsible adults to make sure we have enough in an emergency savings fund to cover out of pocket maximums.

Lol so youre saying you have multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars just chilling in the bank? Assuming youre not full of shit and have any idea what medical treatment actually costs, you really think poor people can save up that kind of money? Lol stop trolling

I really wish authors would stop lying to people telling them that other people don’t notice things. They do and they usually have an opinion about it. The trick is you can’t care about what other people think. Otherwise you’ll never live a life. Which will also be noticed and judged.

I notice... usually because I am jealous that they are able to sit at the bar with their book and I’m stuck there talking to someone I don’t like ;)

i don’t mind doing things alone and I don’t let being alone stop me from doing things most of the time. I just wish my situation was different an no matter how hard I’ve tried, I’m still very alone. It would be nice to have someone to share experiences with.

My wife and I recently separated, and I am enjoying spending entire days alone and making whatever decisions I want to make. It’s GLORIOUS! So, here’s a big thumbs up to this article and to spending time alone.
