That actually happened to me once in northern California.

Deleted because I Googled my science and I was wrong.

Driving safely in poor conditions mostly amounts to: 1) slow the fuck down and 2) give other drivers space to slip and slide and take several tries to stop. Upper midwesterners refuse to do either and then wonder why there are so many accidents when the roads get bad. I once lost my shit so bad that I stopped my car

Lived in the region a few years for work.

You’re a genius.

I’m 100% team butter pretty much everywhere else. In fact, my friends know that if they love something I made, it’s because I used butter. But I’ve been converted to mayo for grilled cheese.

Oh, holy shit - I never even considered bacon grease. I bet that’s fucking amazing and I’m #teammayo.

I use cheddar because that’s what I always have on hand, but I’d like to try gruyere. I bet that would be good.

“I’ve read all the reasons why people do this but... .”

It’s really more the application that I have an issue with than underlying morality. When someone is obviously guilty and got a fair trial, I can’t work up much outrage. But a lot of people, especially poor people and minorities, aren’t getting the same “justice.”

I looked at a lot of general media and searched some legal news sites as well and I found squat. Only a reporter speculating that the prosecutors thought they had a better chance for a conviction if they didn’t seek the death penalty.

Any idea why?

Person who likes her pets and doesn’t them want to die. :(

And let “that bitch” milk him dry in alimony and child support, thanks to the feminazi family courts? #howmrasthink

I’ve read all the reasons why people can legit forget their kids are in the car. Still don’t get it. I moved halfway across the country this summer and blasted across three states with hardly any stops (except overnight in a pet-friendly motel) because my two cats were with me. If I had to stop to rest/eat, I did it

I don’t know why I think this way, but every time I read about stuff like this, I know there’s some woman, somewhere, who will still fuck him.

Good. Jackass. I need to look up what state this is because I thought it was Texas and this seems like a capital case to me. (I’m anti-death penalty on paper but this is someone you wouldn’t see me crying over.)

Your comment is how I feel about 99.9% of the things I see people fighting about on the internet.

Whoa, he’s a vet? I thought Americans creamed their pants over throwing bones to vets!

Doing so automatically makes me question their competence to stand trial. (But I’m also not inclined to second guess professionals who actually examined him and deemed him competent.)
