Problem is, the new Alienware 13 laptops are similarly priced and DO come with an integrated GPU... but at double the weight. That’s pretty much where you’ve got to make the choice. Is the weight savings worth losing the GPU? That choice is going to depend very heavily on the individual.

The lack of mention on pricing for the Core does imply priciness, although it also seems to legitimately not be ready for market yet. Here’s hoping it’s not too outrageous.
Notebook-wise, I’m kinda like you. Mine is 3 years old, but still powerful enough to run most games at 720p. I’ll probably build a beefy desktop

Those laptops aren’t ultrabooks though.

Especially considering some other 900-1000$ laptops have really powerful graphics cards too. My laptop has one and it is just as fast as any desktop gaming PC. MSI and ASUS has really crazy gaming laptop and GPUs with the same price models. Albeit they are pretty hefty systems and you need a battery pack or some place

You’d get better ventilation with a deathstar. But it would be more prone to blowing up.
