...was clearly unpopular with the public.

I’ve been trying to provide examples but it’s be difficult to break through with the newer, more energized folks, who have the ideas that can change tactics if they wouldn’t spurn the system when progress doesn’t happen fast enough for them. True progress is an evolution, it takes DECADES, not months or years.

You need to look at that quote again:

Yeah! You sure showed her! (Also all of the women, PoC, and members of the LGBTQ community who’s safety and security far left voters traded in favor of “LOL WALL STREET!”)

So what you’re saying is there was no evidence Clinton was progressive except for the entire platform she built her campaign on which is also now deemed irrelevant meaning there’s no evidence she could’ve presented that would’ve satisfied you.

Let’s be friends and organize together.

(Except that I don’t like your labels because I’ve been a progressive for decades, and I am darned if I’m letting Bernie supporters redefine progressive to equal support for Bernie. Although I may borrow your concept of “pragmatic progressive” because yes, that is EXACTLY it)

Clinton had a Sanders’ surrogate, Cornel West, help her write her platform. She incorporated Bernie’s points into her platform. That is action. If the only thing you could see was her VP selection wasn’t who you’d decided it should be, that’s part of the problem. She needed to pick someone she could work/govern with.

“P

And again, I’ve yet to hear why the platform matters.

Hillary looked like a solid progressive to you. Same if it is racial justice, or civil liberties.

Kaine obviously didn’t, or he would have done a better job rebutting the lies.

Her immediate dismissal of their ideas...

The problem is that even if a red state Dem holds the same progressive values as a blue state Dem, the challenge becomes packaging them in a way that enough red state voters will put them in office to enact them.

Is that a joke? You can’t think this is progressive?

I worked for the local party at one point, you would not believe the number of people who walked into the office and complained about what the local and national party was doing yet never volunteered or donated. They got ignored, donors and volunteers however, they do not, really we keep a very short list of who gets

She reaches out? What a joke.

I’m a little giggly at you think Jez is centrist paradise.

So what? If it resonates with the local populace and they vote for him, then so be it. Remember, he’s not beholden to anyone outside of his constituents. I think a lot of Democrats in big blue areas forget that. He doesn’t have to be the perfect Democrat.

I don’t think that’s fair at all. I see the current wave of socialist-leaning Democrats as a return to the mission statement of the Great Society initiatives of Johnson. Considering the state of wealth disparity in this country, that sort of unabashedly fiscally liberal stance is philosophically valid and valuable.

I don’t know about Kansas, but in Montana quite a few people are actually upset that Quist is getting out of state donations for his campaign. If the DNC got involved, it might actually hurt him more than it would help.

If you’re JUST living/working down by the river during the daytime its fine, but for night time driving I would personally like something other than 1970's technology lighting the road ahead.
