at this point they could justify an electronic sign which simply indicates if parking is OK at that time or not.

So by the time you've read all the signs... you've got a parking ticket.
VALUE DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY! GOOD NIGHT! Well, it may actually add value, but you are losing $4,500.
Yeah, but it works for houses. We modified the bathroom with a new toilet and put some plants in the front yard and now the house is worth $20,000 more or something like that.
Fair enough on the couple hundred feet. That is more for the 45+ mph set. Still, 136 feet, which is apparently what engineers use as the design guideline for stopping distance from 35 (which if it's signed at 25, traffic will be going 35), is plenty far enough.
Excellent piece Greg...wow.
The United States of America is not for black people. We know this, and then we put it out of our minds, and then…
That's because police in Canada still pride themselves in the fact that their role is TO HELP PEOPLE.
Drivers hate pedestrians, pedestrians hate cars, everyone hates cyclists.
I think your math is off. 7mi @45mph=9.3min, 7mi@20mph=21min. That makes for a ~12min difference, which is enough to annoy most people. If there were stop along the way, difference increases, since bikes are slower to accelerate.
Please show me the 2300 pound car so that I may buy it. It's more like 3000+ in 99% of cases.
This is the kind of attitude that makes people hate cyclists.
those bastarf apologists and their logic. How dare they point out that the company is in its infancy and trying to do things differently. How dare they point of Tesla doesn't have the same experience, workforce or setup assembly lines as other big companies about have been around near 100 years.
I have zero problem with cyclists who obey the laws and ride in the bike lane, obey traffic laws, etc. like they're supposed to. I have a huge problem with the cyclists who think they can ride two and three across, go back and forth between the bike lane and the far right lane and who decide that red lights and stop…
A bad synchro is kind of a big problem for less than 3 years of ownership. Not double clutching like you should?
So wait - The car that is having problems while still covered under warranty is getting them fixed? AND the car is also getting other pro-active fixes done for parts that have been known to cause issues? AND the manufacturer is offering a loaner car? AND the owner of the car didn't have to deal with a dealer at any…
It's the general entitlement that cyclists have that drives me nuts on a daily basis. Just nuts. And the lack of obedience to stop signs...
It is! It's a great show, isn't it? I live quite close.
Get ready for a rant, dude.
If you can afford a 100,000 car in addition to several other cars; you are not wanting or hurting for a $2,500 tax rebate.
