Having driven in FL, I have to say while enough of the motorists down there do have bad habits (hazards when it rains?), they still don't take the cake. I actually found their version of traffic to be not as mind numbingly terrible, to be honest. And from what I saw, the HOV lanes at least had barriers between them

I'd say that's okay, but it also won't increase the value of the car.

Do you have a cite for this?

It's profiling, bigotry, and prejudice, intertwined through social conditioning. The three are vital aspects of racism, among other isms. Which people choose to use, makes no difference and it certainly isn't reserved for opposing groups of people.

Just curious, but what do you do to beat on it? Is it tracked at all?

Everyone hates temperamental cars. Unless you enjoy turning a wrench yourself (usually for something you did), people hate to spend their time at the dealer.

It's crazy how that idea was always somewhere floating around in my head, but it didn't hit me the way it did until Musk said it.

A car can be lethal, but it isn't a weapon. And anywhere a car and bicycle would be able to share the road, it wouldn't take a car a couple hundred feet to stop.

Most motorists also hate all of the above you've listed. It's actually a much longer list.

Your math is off. You can't travel at ~half the speed and cover the same distance in anything less than twice the time. 180 seconds isn't close. What would've taken ~9 minutes, now takes ~18-24, or closer to 1440 seconds.

A down payment and financing— the same way anyone else in this country buys things they can't pay cash for.

Get out of my head. You've nailed everything I was thinking, here.

You wouldn't happen to be in Maryland, would you? Looks like one of the Hunts Valley C&C meets.

Nope, you don't have to be the exception. More simply, everyone is different and people change. I myself made a similar decision years ago, when I decided I didn't want to focus on a spartan sports car so much, or deal with modding, and just bought a car at the other end of the spectrum (though I always end up doing

Well, to be fair, if you don't much care for the Challenger, as a car, this one probably won't wow you just because they threw extra hp at it (and I don't say that to discount the amount of engineering which went into the vehicle).

And also enough to steal half their profits! Can't have that.

Whoa whoa, lets not give any ideas...

Also, if someone steals your car, they can listen to YOUR music.

Strictly out of curiosity, do you have a cite or something for this?

I agree, but I guess it also depends what "driven hard" means (unrelated to that ad, btw). For the most part, if the person isn't actively tracking the car, I doubt they're really pushing as hard as they think they are on the streets. Taking it up in speed, braking, and navigating a few sweeping turns is pretty
