Ken, this is the best series of posts on Jalopnik to date. Better than the E30 Mexico rally car, better than the low mileage journey by Torch and whoever. These three posts that you’ve done are the best. Please, please keep it up.

Can we have doggos too?
I agree! But if we’re going to have any, it’s definitely better to have both.
Why are grid girls or boys even needed? I ain’t here too look at people, I’m here to see racecars.
Yesterday people were claiming the citation was a good deal because, “what else are you going to get in good condition for less than $4k.”
100%. Even a most surprising wins or losses.
This car has several things going for it:
on the one hand it’s a non-finished project on the other hand it is a time capsule, if only there was an out of a job person who could help bring this tired classic back to it’s former glory ... NP and time to call Ed!
They are repairing the emergency spillway with rip rap reinforced with concrete in the areas that were eroded.
“Very Few” is referenced probably due to costs. In the north east we have Acella which is slow compared to what the high speed line is supposed to be. Most of the rail traffic is slower commuter trains. The high speed rail project has numerous issues. I haven’t kept up in recent years but some of the random routes it…
Thank you! There’s a lot of shoddy reporting in this article that casually conflates the main spillway, the emergency spillway, and the actual dam itself. The article’s title implies that the dam is damaged (and, thus, could fail), and it just goes downhill from there.
That goddamn train won the popular vote, confoundingly. California elections are not immune from being overrun by idiots, either.
I think there needs to be a way to do both. Not necessarily the high speed rail but new construction projects in general. We can’t just rely on maintaining old stuff forever.
Well... we could not spend $100 Million 10 years ago to maintain it, but we can sure spend $68 BILLION on a high speed rail system very few will ever use.
concern emerged that the dam itself might collapse.
That is one of the funniest skits SNL has done in a while. It still makes me laugh a lot. “Other cars are slow and Hondas” Cecily Strong is a god damn treasure.
I imagine the truck was equipped with crab steering.
You’re just mad because you can’t accept that cats are the royalty of the animal kingdom
As much as Bernie is... Bernie, I will miss the entertainment he brings.
Ouch this is brutal stuff .I used to race offroad bikes so seeing these top shelf guys dropping out like this hits a bit close to home.I can kinda feel their exhaustion !
