Ken, this is the best series of posts on Jalopnik to date. Better than the E30 Mexico rally car, better than the low mileage journey by Torch and whoever. These three posts that you’ve done are the best. Please, please keep it up.

Can we have doggos too?
I agree! But if we’re going to have any, it’s definitely better to have both.
Why are grid girls or boys even needed? I ain’t here too look at people, I’m here to see racecars.
Yesterday people were claiming the citation was a good deal because, “what else are you going to get in good condition for less than $4k.”
100%. Even a most surprising wins or losses.
This car has several things going for it:
on the one hand it’s a non-finished project on the other hand it is a time capsule, if only there was an out of a job person who could help bring this tired classic back to it’s former glory ... NP and time to call Ed!
That is one of the funniest skits SNL has done in a while. It still makes me laugh a lot. “Other cars are slow and Hondas” Cecily Strong is a god damn treasure.
I imagine the truck was equipped with crab steering.
You’re just mad because you can’t accept that cats are the royalty of the animal kingdom
As much as Bernie is... Bernie, I will miss the entertainment he brings.
Ouch this is brutal stuff .I used to race offroad bikes so seeing these top shelf guys dropping out like this hits a bit close to home.I can kinda feel their exhaustion !
They burnt out the last transmission trying to power a third nacelle and hit warp 13!
Yeah, I pass through there every time I head down to Santa Cruz. Scenic area, and almost always good weather for hiking. Don’t know how fast I’d be willing to take this Oldsmobile down Highway 17 though...
I would actually drive this thing, not as a beater, but as a rolling testament to my lack of self-respect and vehicular frugality. At $400+a trans, I think it’s a safe gamble. Plus I’d get to revisit Los Gatos, which is a beautiful little town with great hiking trails.
For $400 plus a transmission job you’ll surely live long and prosper, NP
I’d Swear Trek the $hit out of this at a Lemons race.
“Yes, this is nerd-dom set to warp-factor 11.”
Only people returning dieselgate VWs to the dealer.
