Look at the breather. That's the TBI engine not a mpfi one.
TBI engines like the car linked to do not have optispark. Just a small cap HEI
I don't even need to go to eBay.
I think we’ve arrived at the point where any “super” car just doesn’t seem all That super when equipped with a piston engine. With the rapid maturity of hybrid electric drives I think it’s high time someone stepped up to the plate And generated that power with a 2000hp plus turbine. THAT would truly seem “super”…
If rotaries are so great why doesn't Mazda want to risk one on their darling Miata?
“I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of apex seals suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.”
The horsepower is low because the speed (rpm) is low, the torque however like all external combustion engines is off the chart. Steam tractors didn't come much larger than this one which can pull a plow as big as all but the largest highest hp modern tractors can albeit much more slowly
A more valid comparison
I have held certification for all the processes above as well as a few others It’s a great skill to possess it’s a terrible professon to stay in. It’s HOT, the fumes will eventually kill you, the contortions you put your body in will cripple you, the hours are long. After 16 years in the business the best thing I did…
You need something you can get parts for. And in the USA a land cruiser isn’t it.
A lot of modern cars maintain amazingly low oil pressure at lower rpm. The oil pressure gauge in many applications is designed to not read the real oil pressure values simply to prevent service claims from people who think a new car should function like one from the 70’s
It does not matter. Modern cars will tell you in the information display if something is amiss and quite possibly shut the engine down to prevent damage. Gauges are purely a styling cue to make you feel slightly more involved with the oily bits.
