Jurors in this case had opinions - just pro-police ones.

Jurors are selected because they have no strong opinion, or one that favors not guilty. From their perspective, the story plays out as a mistake. It’s hard to convict someone over a mistake, unless it’s ridiculously obviously not what someone else would do.

Is there even any point to releasing this now? That asshole is already free. All this does is traumatize us all again and rub salt in the wound, showing us that a Black man or woman or child can do everything right and get killed in 3 seconds.

Since 10 out of 10 juries agree that black people are scary and not to be trusted.

The whole world is getting more racist. There is no “better” way to profit and assimilate than to adhere to anti-blackness. People always forget the power of media. Couple that with the ease and ubiquity of technology, and confirmation bias can not die.
