I was a big fan of these, especially the TT-S with quattro, a 3.2L VR6, and DSG.

Go drive one. I can’t speak for the 1.5L but the 2.0L was an enjoyable experience. I’ve owned a ton or more-powerful, much-faster cars and I don’t fault it for being what it is at the given price point.

Test drove a 2016 Sport today and was thoroughly impressed despite the very limited test drive time. I’m sure I’ll get flogged by the faithfuls but it was significantly more enjoyable than my experience with the MazdaSpeed Miata when they first launched.

That titanium silver color over brown of the Spyder is stunning! My one complaint about the ND is the lack of color options. Hopefully next year they open the floodgates and give it some of the many beautiful colors available from Mazdas history.
