Same here. All I wanted is a game console that plays games and allows me to to whatever I want with the games that I purchased. It's just so sad that Microsoft just doesn't get it. They used to be pro gamer back then, now they are a bunch of greedy fucks. Such a shame.

Lets not forget that Microsoft also makes money on selling advertisers your info so they can load up on ads on your home page while you pay for live gold. It's a win win for MS.

Maybe it's my fault for being over 14 and thus remembering a time when paying money for a console or a disc meant it belonged to you, and gave you the right to play the game whenever and however you pleased. But I simply can't support this sort of draconian nonsense anymore.

I 100% agree with you on this. If Sony pulls this shit too, I have no qualms about sitting out the next generation of consoles. And as a collector myself, I have tons of games I have yet to play dating back from my old Sega Saturn to my PS3 and 360.
