Because a man cheating on his partner isn’t a referendum on her worth or strength. It’s a reflection of his own weak character.
That part. I was waiting to see who had that thought because it’s the first one I had. As much as I hate to admit it, all of this is political theatre and an exercise in keeping us engaged against each other instead of against the real issues.
Just goes to show that it’s all bs. Politics is nothing but interactive theater.
Because they chose to modify their bodies? How’s that any of your business? Are you totally selfless? Bike everywhere and never use a jet? Only use ethically made electronics? Please.
Now I’m judging you, because calling someone “awful” for having a frank conversation about how we—women—perceive and change our looks is pretty awful in and of itself.
I feel you, as a “brown hare.” Wtf pottermore?
LOL at Trump tweeting straight from the talking points memo issued by the GOP. The Washington Post has an annotated version of the memo, which is interesting to read. I suggest everyone read it to prepare for the onslaught of misinformation we’re about to get from the right.
I have terribly sweaty and annoying feet and have absolutely fallen in love with my Sorel (yep like the boots) sandals. They are really comfortable and have been on two 2 week long walking intensive trips and still look great.
About the accent thing though: when you live around other English-speakers with radically different accents you do kind of pick up some of it after awhile. When I lived in Beijing I had many friends who were Australian and when that’s the only form of English you hear most days your voice starts to reflect it. So I’d…
Meal one: For breakfast, Khloé downs one scoop of whey protein powder with one tablespoon of almond butter and a fruit of her choice blended with ice and water and made into a shake.
I mean, at the end of the day, I want my daughter to be more like Sofia the First than Ariel Winter, and it has nothing to do with clothing.
Hah! I read the headline thinking, “Sounds familiar.” And then the mom said “She needs to grow up.” Exactly what my mother said after inviting herself on my trip to India to meet my husband’s parents and being denied because she’s a racist asshole who didn’t believe me when I told her I was raped at 15 and made me…
She’s 19 and it’s kind of her job to push boundaries now. She’s still a kid, while also becoming an adult and this is a pretty normal boundary to push. I’m guessing she won’t be dressing like this in 10 years because this is how people learn.
You think a 19 year old who had to be legally emancipated from her mother for abusive, controlling behavior is “awful and wrong” for posting sexy pictures on instagram? Where the fuck are your priorities?
I agree with Britney that touristing in Japan is pretty fun.
Blatant sexism is easier to deal with but this concern trolling about over exposing your body is infuriating. I don’t care if Ariel Winters thinks she’s hot shit and wants to wear booty shorts and show off on instagram. I don’t have to check her instagram. But they police her body and reinforce The Madonna/Whore trap…
I live nearby and am a Native woman (Ojibwe, not Sioux but still) and I was shocked when I heard what the structure depicted. Minneapolis is a very chill city though, so even though it’s crazy this idea got as far as it did, it’s being handled well now that they’ve heard feedback from the community.
Those darn Dakota, raiding intellectual property (their history) like they raided our land property (their stolen lands).
