I live in Bogota, Colombia and the closest thing that I've seen to a furry convention is an anime convention. Awesome place, no furry stuff though.

How do you prove an attempted mugging? Or someone sneaking in through the window of your house? I don't think it's as easy as showing bruises that one could have inflicted on someone else. I don't really know though, maybe you would like to enlighten me?

In Colombia (probably happens in other places too but here's where I live), if you fight back against someone trying to steal from you, they may press charges saying that you attacked them and get the money anyway. My parents had a friend who was put in jail for a while because of that.
