I’m alright with recasting as an Asian actor, but would actually prefer they stick with a white one. Luke, Misty and Colleen regularly giving Danny shit for being a clueless privileged white guy is part of the character’s history that I think would be lost if they changed his race.
They’re really in a catch 22 with this show. If they cast a white actor to stay “true” to the comic, they’re racist. If they cast an Asian actor then they’re racists as well because omg Asian knows martial arts stereotype/trope.
