In places where most available food is dodgy i got used to eating Nutella with whatever local bread available. Very high energy content, doesn't need refrigeration, available in most parts of the world, fairly compact, and you can eat it for a pretty long time before you get fed up with the taste.

Actually most fast food companies alter the composition of the food from region to region, some due to different availability to raw materials, some to more align with the local taste, some just differ in preparation.
