AFAIK you can swap any part from an original Bug and a Pur Sang and they will still work flawlessly, furthermore I am fairly certain that the Pur Sang cars are also eligible to enter vintage races, even though the car is probably no more than 10 years old, because it is such an accurate reproduction.
