Not great. It reuses some tracks from the 4C movies (namely, BLOOD AND GUTS AND BLOOD AND GUTS) and is very overbearing.
If you are used to/like the Hirasawa music you will likely be disappointed.

Not only do you miss the major set up, as this adaptation picks up in the middle of the story The first arc, the Golden Age, is incredibly important for the series as a whole. Just read the manga or watch the original anime, then decide for yourself if you want to watch along with this.

I’m kinda disappointed that Pokemon Go is so.... limited? Like, imagine how cool it would have been to have pokemon moves, actual battles, between trainers.
