In Utah our local Smiths super stores have electronics sections, and they have a big ole letter over the games case explaining they are allowing extended refunds on Cyberpunk 2077 explicitly because CDPR misled consumers about how it’d run on consoles/base consoles. It’s surprisingly direct too. I should get a pic

This a bunch of times over. What did the media promise me, and did it fulfill that promise.

I don’t need to hear how the fast and furious series has unrealistic stories and all sorts of issues with logic and continuity. What I was promised is good looking people doing crazy shit in/with cars.

Its odd how sometimes it takes an outsiders perspective to truly capture the culture and feel of something. Like, Kung Fu Panda really does chinese martial arts movies in a way that China just hasn’t been able to, it captured so much so well.... Metal Wolf Chaos is possibly the single most patriotically american IP

yeah I’ve heard plenty good about ps5 and XsX, I just meant the PS4 Pro and X1X because I own those, so if it’s decent enough I’ll jump in sooner, rather than wait till I buy next gen consoles.

Yeah, you can go left or right, and there’s a small handful of levels that have top to bottom areas, and a smaller handful where the level itself is top to bottom, they added a move. It is definitely an evolution of the original (and that’s with us arguing about a wildly different game that got rebranded to mario in

How do they run on the ps4 Pro/X1x?  Just asking because I’d consider it still, if it runs decently on either until I go next gen.

We’ve also hit this point with game reviews where it’s like high school grades. 70 is worthy of punishment, 80 is the minimum expectation, 90 is the beginning of good.

Except the gameplay from Super Mario 1 to USA2 doesn’t actually change that much... there are things added to it, but it’s still a side scrolling platformer.

As opposed to Final Fantasy, which went from turnbased, to active time turn based, to full on ARPG.

Hey this guy brought up the McD’s coffee case! He clearly knows his shit! Except... you don’t know anything about the McD’s coffee case outside of what some whiners who want you to not understand it have blasted out in media your whole life.

The coffee wasn’t hot, it was near boiling, McDonalds had had many complaints

Man you shoulda brought up the McD’s Coffee lady lawsuit too! Then you’d have the trifecta of “I didn’t read shit but here’s my shitty take.” It’s not just the standard blinking lights in most video games, it’s a sequence that appears to be directly modeled after what doctors in real life use to induce seizures for

I’d be playing it tomorrow while the kids do schoolwork if my latest client hadn’t completely bailed on paying. So... now I’m rushing to save christmas for the fam, but I’ll get that sorted and I’ll likely get to cyberpunk around the end of the month or January.

It’s weird, as an American I immediately want to state a culture of welfare and taking care of each other isn’t a bad thing, then I reread the post and realize there was no negative statement attached to it....

I would argue don’t cover all the bases. Warcraft and Assassin’s creed tried that, and was poorer for it for trying to cram a massive amount of backstory and world building and a love interest and political drama between tribes, when it should have been simpler and more straightforward with a bunch of visual

We buy a fair amount of box wine (Fish eye and barefoot are really solid deals for the price, especially in utah where you have to assume every bottle costs $5 more than it should.) , literally the only way we have leftover. Hell, my standard pour for the wife and I means that the bottle is done after a glass each....

Haha, I have a friend who does the same! Our favorite is a bitter hot chocolate mixed with it, maybe add brandy afterwards but mulled hot chocolate and wine is like my favorite thing, and it works with the uber sweet concord.

Just keep in mind, 0-6 are all old-school brawlers, the combat system has depth but honestly for a lot of it it just felt like mashing buttons to me (I’m not very good) but the story, and the side stories, and side activities put them down as one of my favorite franchises of all time.

No. I can’t recall the last time I saw Caffeine free variants in bottle form. During the holidays I tend to keep caffeine free soda on hand for the kids as a treat with dinner, and being in Utah there’s a significant number of people who prefer caffeine free if they are to be seen buying soda and even here the stuff

If you play Yakuza 0-6 you’d play Kiryu (between jail stints to start what feels like every single game) from around 20 to mid/late 50s. The Yakuza games are mature games for mature people who may or may not have a hidden silly side/alcohol addiction issues.
